The Rural Post firmly believes that stories are everywhere and can come from any person. TRP is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary platform that encourages the scholarly aptitude of people working in any sector concerning rural India. TRP covers a wide range of sectors and themes, and our content comes in different formats: case studies, articles, policy briefs, cartoons and comics, and podcasts. However, our sole focus is to unfold the multidimensional nature of rurality and present unbiased and evidence-based perspectives concerning rural India.
We know that the excitement and enthusiasm to pen down your thoughts on rural India surrounds you all the time. Surprisingly, such is the case with every writer and editor who wishes to write for TRP. We receive a handsome volume of submissions. Hence, we take nearly a week to get back to you regarding confirmation and another week concerning publication.

Articles (News and Special Issues)
We publish articles ranging from 300-1000 words. The focus of our articles is on the current trends in rural areas concerning new policies or development. The articles are published in the news section and the special issues of The Rural Post. Articles in the news are general articles and can be from a diverse field. However, special issues are theme-based. If you wish to publish in the special issue then you can contact our editorial team for further details.

Case Studies (Ruralities Journal)
Ruralities is the most important aspect of The Rural Post. The journal aims to reach a wider set of audience namely social workers, civil servants, policymakers, researchers, students, and more. We publish case studies where we appreciate stories from the grassroots or concerning the grassroots. The case study typically ranges from 1200-3000 words. However, we also anticipate case studies that are less than 1200 words but constitute a potential to impact the rural space.
The following format is suggested for writing the case study where the community has come up with the solution of the challenge or problem:

In case your case study slightly deviates from the above-mentioned format, it is still fine. However, in case of any doubt, please contact the TRP editorial team. You need to take the permission of the organization if your case is inspired by working in that organization. Make sure you add references wherever secondary data is being used. Policy Briefs (Ruralities Journal)
Ruralities is the most important aspect of The Rural Post. The journal aims to reach a wider set of audience namely social workers, civil servants, policymakers, researchers, students, and more. We publish policy briefs where we appreciate scholarly work representing an analysis of public policies and programmes concerning rural India. The policy brief typically ranges from 1200-3000 words. However, we also anticipate policy briefs that are less than 1200 words but constitute a potential to impact the rural space.

All the articles must be mailed to theruralpostorg@gmail.com. We won’t anticipate any submission made through any other medium of communication.
If sending us an article, please keep in mind the following:

The article should follow the word limit prescribed for each section

The article should be typed in the word template provided at the end of the webpage.

The article should be properly referenced in APA citation style. Any plagiarized work will be sent back to the author.

We believe that every person who has an amazing story to share might not be an expert at writing it. Hence, we have an awesome editorial team to help you. However, we request you to ensure that you run your submission through appropriate grammar and sentence structure check.
We aspire and appreciate originality and creativity. We always prioritize submissions that help us deliver new insights to TRP readers. Hence, we don’t republish an already published article. However, we publish any analysis that you would like to propose for a published paper, analysis, or scholarly work. In that case, we require a signed Conflict of Interest from your end. You can mention the same in the submission file at the end of the article.
Cartoons and Comics (KalpaVriksha)
We are in the process to have our creative section where we publish comics and cartoons, doodles concerning rural India. If you have anything cool artwork, then you can mail us the same. The final artwork should be jpeg. or png. image file with at least 300 DPI.
